Grading System
PIGEON FORGE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADING GUIDELINES
A student’s cumulative grade average in each core academic class is determined by taking the average of all final grades from each six weeks grading period. Additionally, the TCAP quick score from each tested academic course will count for 15% of the student’s final grade for each course.
GRADING SCALE

| 90 – 100 | A |
| 80 – 89 | B |
| 70 – 79 | C |
| 60 -69 | D |
| 0 – 59 | F |
For non-tested subjects (i.e., Art, Band, Computer, Career Exploration, Guidance, Library, Music, and PE), students will be evaluated according to the following standard.

GRADE COMPUTATIONS
Six Weeks Grade = (Daily Average * 0.66) + (Test Average * 0.33)
Final Grade = [(Average of All Six Weeks Grades) * 0.85] + {TCAP Score * 0.15)
